Surrender-Laying Down My Own Will For What Is Better!

Surrender-Laying Down My Own Will For What Is Better!

Week 2 - The Power of Surrender

Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6

There's something truly sacred & remarkable about surrender. Not the kind that looks like giving up, but the kind that lays down your own will and fleshly desires so God can move in power.

We live in a culture that tells us to fight for control-of our time, our plans, our future. But I can assure you, when we surrender to the Lord, we're not giving up!

We're giving in to the One who knows the way. the One who understands just what we actually do need.

Surrender isn't weak. In fact I would argue that it is the complete opposite. It is empowering! It's worship. It's saying, "God, I trust You more than I trust myself."

Reflection Questions:

- What area of your life are you still trying to control?

- What might it look like to lay that down before the Lord?

Prayer:

Father, I confess that sometimes I hold too tightly to things I was never meant to carry. Today I choose full surrender. Nudge me when I begin to rely on myself and walk away from surrender to you. I acknowledge that Your ways are better, Your ways are BEST and it is for my good and Your Glory that you require this for growth! I lay down my agenda, my fear, and my control, and I choose to trust You. Lead me, Lord. I'm Yours.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
